Float Switches
Vertical Float Switches
- Operating Principle
A permanent magnet set in a float rises and falls on a guide tube containing one or more magnetically operated reed switches. Application
Suitable for almost all liquids.
Special designs are capable of liquid interface measurement.
Temperature -320oF to 662oF (-196oC to 350oC)
Vacuum to 580 psi (4 MPa) (Higher pressure designs available). Materials
Stainless steel, brass, titanium, Tantalum, Hastelloy, PVC, polypropylene, PVDF, PTFE and E-CTFE coatings.
Output
Contact closure in SPST, NO or NC; or SPDT
- Configurations
Flange or thread mounting. Top, bottom or side entry. Multi-level switching with pre-set switch points. Guide tube lengths up to 480" (40') in one piece construction. Food industry designs available.
A float pivoted at one end of a short actuating arm rises and falls with the liquid level. The other end of the actuating arm contains a permanent magnet which operates a magnetic reed switch in the body of the housing.
